Heave
"Heave" from this portfolio was first installed at the Urban Institute
for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, MI, and continues to undergo
changes since that first showing: the wall installation of scoops,
spoons and shovels grows with each installation, multiplying in numbers
and density, the A-frame and tampers have been removed, and piles of
dirt have been added to the end of the table opposite the dining
setting.

Utilizes a cam system, which is run by two motors continuously dipping the cotton voile into drums of used oil. Hangs at 15 feet.
